Disney to Hire Most of Character.AI's Staff After Startup's Bankruptcy
Disney has agreed to make job offers to at least 60 Character.AI employees — the majority of the bankrupt chatbot startup’s workforce — after a court filing revealed the terms of its stalking-horse bid. Disney will also pay $20 million for a license to Character.AI’s core technology IP, per Bloomberg.
