Google Launches Universal Cart: One Cart for Every Store
Google launched Universal Cart in the US on October 15, 2026, after previewing it at Google I/O in May. It works across Google Search and the Gemini app, letting shoppers save items from multiple retailers in one cart, get price-drop and restock alerts, and check out with Google Pay through the open Universal Commerce Protocol.
